With a community-driven spirit, GCS knows how important it is to give back to the community who has given them so much. Along with the GCS Cares Program, GCS also participates in and sponsors various charities throughout the Gulf Coast.

GCS Cares Program

GCS Building Solutions is launching its annual GCS Cares project and is looking for deserving households to receive a complete storm protection package free for the 2010 hurricane season. Winners will be announced via the GCS facebook page http://www.facebook.com/gcsbsi. GCS will award a protection package to one household each month through November. Deserving households include those involved in public service, first responders or those facing tough financial times. One deserving household will be chosen on the last Thursday of each month. The award will include code-approved protection on all glazed openings of the home at no cost to the homeowner. GCS will choose the winner each month from the nominations received.

Giving Back to the Community

Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation www.dcwaf.org The Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation’s mission is to connect wine enthusiasts and philanthropic-minded citizens for the purpose of raising money for children in need. Through their benefiting charities, the proceeds raised by the Foundation provide financial support and give hope to at-risk children, including those afflicted by health issues and abuse.

Ronald McDonald House Charities www.rmhpensacola.org RMHC provides support for families of sick children in the local community. They help by providing shelter, meals, childcare and more to those in need. GCS participates in their annual event, Kaps for Kids. To view the 2010 order form for Kaps for Kids click here.

Operation: Christmas Child www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/occ The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

For the past 18 years Habitat for Humanity has been building stronger lives for mothers, fathers and children in our neighborhoods.
